The beginnings of Draconian can be traced back to May 1994, when Johan Ericsson (drums, vocal), Andy Hindenäs (guitar) and Jesper Stolpe (bass, vocal) joined forces to create Kerberos, a set of Death Metal with influences from Doom metal . Seven months later, vocalist and poet Anders Jacobsson joined the band, which changed its name to the current Draconian.
